Blaze: Yellow<br />
Strenuous trail from Colbert Creek Road to Deep Gap terminating at the Black Mountain Crest Trail. Few switchbacks and steep elevation gains from 2,750' to 5,700' in 3.7 miles.

Directions

From Burnsville head North on US-19-E for 4.5 miles. Make a slight turn to the right onto Micaville Loop (NC 1186/NC 80). After 0.6 miles turn right and proceed on NC-80 S. After 8 miles you will enter the town of Hamrick consisting of a gas station and make an immediate turn onto Colbert Creek Road and proceed for about .5 miles and the trailhead will be on the right.
